This is a classic OG-107 type 3 sateen shirt belonging to Maxwell and features a subdued Army Aviation Training Command patch. A pair of wings attached to a flaming torch symbolizes the school’s training mission, with wings representing flight and the torch the light of knowledge and learning. This is the patch worn during the Vietnam era by students at Fort Rucker, AL attending pre-flight training. The shirt is in very good shape and shows only minor wear for its age and has a beautiful broken-in feel and patina.
