An authentic and historically significant 1966 U.S. Marine Corps Third Pattern OG-107 utility shirt, connected by provenance to a documented Vietnam War USMC officer archive named to 1st Lieutenant Lawrence J. Merchut of the 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division.

This third pattern OG-107 represents the final evolution of the classic utility uniform worn by Marines during the height of the Vietnam War. Constructed from durable cotton sateen in olive green shade 107, it features the streamlined two-pocket design and straight hem associated with mid-1960s production. The shirt is named to Merchut, firmly tying it to an individual Marine officer who served during the Vietnam War.

A notable original detail is the USMC designation “B-1-35” stamped on the interior hem, which likely refers to a Marine Corps regimental or organizational marking, further supporting its period-correct Marine issue and enhancing its collector appeal.

A museum-worthy, named Vietnam War–era Marine Corps uniform, ideal for militaria collectors, historians, and serious archive-quality collections. The OG-107 shirt is in excellent condition for its age.
